Special Services throughout the Year:
Ash Wednesday Communion Service – The first Wednesday of Lent at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This special service focuses on our spiritual preparation for the entire Lenten Season.
Maundy Thursday Communion Service – The Thursday before Easter each year at 7:00 p.m. in Sanctuary. This special service focuses on the events that took place between Jesus and his disciples in the Upper Room when Jesus shared the Passover Meal and what took place on Good Friday surrounding the Cross.
Good Friday Community Service and Stations of the Cross - This ecumenical service is from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Good Friday. Parishioners begin at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and carry the Cross from church to church until we reach St. Paul Lutheran Church. Focus is on contemplation of what Jesus experienced that first Good Friday.
Easter Sunrise Service - Each Easter the youth of our church put together and organize an Easter Sunrise Service at 8:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. An Easter Breakfast follows at 8:30 a.m. for the entire congregation in the Social Hall.
Christmas Eve Service - Each Christmas Eve there is a special candlelight service of lessons and carols in the sanctuary. The Chancel Choir sings with added special music from various people in the church. An organ recital by our church organist is provided at 6:30 p.m. prior to the service. Nursery is provided for the evening.
Community Lenten Services - Each Wednesday at noon, an ecumenical service is provided for the community at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Pastors from the Greater Greenville Ministerial Association provide the worship leadership and sermon for the service. At 12:30 p.m. a luncheon is served for donation.
